Configure Visual Studio 2012 to Run as Administrator

Windows Server 2012:
  • Go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Visual Studio 11.0\Common7\IDE
  • Right click deven.exe->Properties
  • On the Compatibility Tab click on the Advanced… button
  • Tick on Run this program as an administrator
  • Click on Change Settings for all user and tick on Run this program as an administrator
  Windows 8:
  • Go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Visual Studio 11.0\Common7\IDE
  • Right click deven.exe
  • Select Troubleshoot program
  • Check The program requires additional permissions
  • Click Next, click Test the program...
  • Wait for the program to launch
  • Click Next
  • Select Yes, save these settings for this program
  • Click Close
